Strong income from Flatland Ceili Band performances and from investments, and low expenses, led to a surplus of almost $8000.

We have 49 memberships (including 7 family)
Note: Gord Menzies (Secretary of Western Region) told us that the memberships had to be submitted to Gord by January 15th

- New Business/ Upcoming events
– Dance Weekend November 29-30 2025, Subsidized by Comhaltas Winnipeg and Ontario
– 2026 CCE Convention will be in Chicago in April
– 2027 CCE Convention will be in Toronto April 1-4. Prior discussions for member financial assistance for attendance will take place closer to the date.
- Ongoing Branch and Members Activities
– Weekly Thursday night Slow Session led by instructor Dave Strang at the Manitoba Irish Association. This is followed by a regular session.
– Shannon’s Irish Pub weekly session hosted by the group Cairde.
– Some of our members are involved with the Winnipeg Irish Set Dance Group
– Individual and group Irish Traditional Music teaching by members
– Congratulations to Maureen Taggart on release of her Sean Nos CD
– Future plans to be discussed regarding bringing in guest musicians/teachers for workshops and performance. Plus other ideas for Branch activities.
